In response to the calls for entry into various exhibits, and in answer to one invitation, these goblets retain their function while exploring the possibilities of design. Again, nature provides the cues, and I respond accordingly. Their names reflect alcoholic intentions.

Tight Rose 2005

The foray into loosening up. I made a second rose goblet, but it was so loose it melted sideways in the firing. This one belongs to Coyote Clay and Glaze.

Scotch Bloom 2005

This was more expressive, and quite fun to make.

Bourbon Blossom 2005

Ah, yes, thorny stuff, but quite delicious.

Moonshine 2005

This one was troublesome, as is the real thing…

The next three were made for the 8th Annual Goblet Show at the Works in Philadelphia, July 2006.More relaxed about this, they were lots of fun, and reflect floral influences and ocean (below the surface) inspiration.

Hot Buttered Trumpet 2006

Honeysuckle Wine 2006

Blue Curaçao
